I haven't written a post this month, have I?

Hello everyone! It has been a good while since I last wrote on here...

So, what have I been up to? Well, the usual. School eating away my precious time, trying to make new videos only to procrastinate on getting anything done, etc. Besides that, 10 days ago I turned 16, I have contributed even more to the Romanian localization at Mozilla, and my Framework 16 is expected to arrive soon™! On that note, literally yesterday at around 5 PM I got an email that told me FedEx is going to ship my laptop and that it is expected to arrive on Monday before 6 PM. Now, to be honest, I am a little bit worried. 'Cause on Monday I have school, and that "before 6 PM" could literally mean 10 in the morning, or maybe even 8 if the FedEx driver is really that dedicated to their job.

Okay, now because I did not make a post on October 6 about my birthday, I will do like an awkward introduction. And I say it's awkward because in the last paragraph I was just talking about the Framework laptop and now I jumped straight to my birthday... 😅 Anyway!

On October 6 at around 4 PM, some friends of mine (old classmates) and I met up at a restaurant to celebrate my birthday. All I have to say is that it was awesome! This was not only because I felt lonely with the new classmates, but also because one of my friends that stayed with me in high school gave me 4 laptops. Which is the topic of the video that comes out today... Hopefully... Out of the 4 laptops, only 3 of them have a 64-bit capable processor, with one of them, a Dell Inspiron 640M from 2006, having an x86 processor. Now I don't really know what to do with it considering that the latest versions of Linux to support x86 are from 2018. But after all, I think I will just install Windows XP, or maybe Vista, and use it as a machine for recreation, or self manifestation using software from the 2000s. Now, it may sound weird to some of you reading this post. But at the end of the day, for some arbitrary reason, I really like pretending that it is the X era again...

So, that was my birthday "party", just 6 teenagers (including me) hanging out in a restaurant! To be honest, that moment really helped me leave behind middle school once and for all. I know it sounds weird, but just picture this: you have put your "internal home" in the classroom, and after that "internal home" becomes quiet once the "heartbeat" of the class leaves, you start to feel very lonely and to cry every night after that "internal home". Now you might be thinking... Didn't I say a few sentences back that I still have one of my old classmates? Well, yes. But one person can't replace 4!

The concert where the rave took place
Okay, now that I got that out of the way, it's also worth mentioning that literally the weekend before my birthday there was a big festival. The entry was free, so of course I went to it! Where a friend of mine and I, after getting back to the stage, were dragged into a sort of rave. Besides that, it was the first time I got to experience what it was like leaving your stomach behind. There was this big "hammer" that would take you at blazing speeds up and down. It was fun nonetheless! Also, at that festival, it was the first time I had eaten cooked chestnuts. They were like if you combined fish with mămăligă (basically boiled corn flour), in my opinion. But they were good.

So, these were the main highlights of the month so far! Now, as I said in the intro, besides these two events and cancelling a video, nothing, literally NOTHING has happened besides school eating my free time.
