The end of an era

 Today is the 11th of June 2026, as of writing this post I am at school. But that is not important at the moment...

Now what do I mean by "The end of an era"? Well, the national evaluation (also known in Romanian as "evaluarea națională") is in about 11 days. And for these passed 3-5 days I've cried a lot, but not for the reason you've might expect. It's not like I'm not prepared for this exam, is only that I don't really have a choice for my high school and that I won't see my current classmates in the autumn when school will start again.

I don't think that I am the only one going through this "pain", but for me, it seems strange because we aren't in 12th grade to say that we've had so many moments together. Now this may be debatable because not all of us have the same opinion regarding this topic, but for me nonetheless is strange.

Fortunately, someone's parent decided that it would be awesome to have a little notebook in which we wrote notes to each other. Now some of them were like this: "I hope you will pass the exam and have success in life". But, some of them are more elaborat, explaining events and other things that we've gotten through. This was a good idea, since we consider that most of us would go on different paths.

Now as I mentioned, I'm really in the fog when it comes to what high school I want to go at. But we will see after the exam! After all, I will see after the exam since I want to get a 8 or above because I made a I made a deal with my mom. Where if I get a 8 or above, I will get a Google Pixel 10 Pro and a Framework 16. So, fingers crossed!

Only 2 months left...

 At the start of the year I've set myself a goal. And that goal was to be consistent on my blog and to post in every month of the year! So, that's basically what I'm doing right now, filler posts!

Okay, let's be real, I got a test that will basically decide my future, which is in about 2 months. So, that's why I haven't posted in a good while... Anyways! In the mean time, a LOT of things had happen! Just to give a few examples, I fully switched to Firefox at the end of February this year and also recovered my 2020 Reddit account. Sounds good doesn't it?

Also, I had made a detailed plan for the next 10-15 years I guess... Basically, I've made a plan which someone my age would not casually do. This plan includes which university I want to study at, how I would join the ERASMUS+ program to do one year of my high school abroad and a bunch of other things that if I include them, they might get stolen. Because they are so good in my opinion!

Now, to be honest, I can't wait to live my first day of high school! I think it would be one of the best days of my life! I mean, just think about it, new classmates (mostly), new teachers (maybe) and a new laptop, the Framework 16! Just writing about them here, makes me fell a wave of happiness! Now, we all know that these things do not come without some working put behind it, so that's why I want to thank Gemini and Claude! They helped me so far with learning and getting a passing grade! I mean, just look at the last post!

Anyways, now for me is a little bit late, and I got school tomorrow... So, have a nice day/night! Now I will go get some sleep, cause I need it!

This is the best day of my life!

 For the past weeks I was looking for a new laptop. Not because my old one is broken ir anything, but it was taken from me because on the 28th of October 2025 "I did not do anything productive".

So, since then I am stuck with 2 laptops that they were hidden as a backup. Those 2 laptops are the Dell Latitude E5570 and the Fujitsu Lifebook S752, which were very helpful for the past week. Anyway! Now let's get into the topic!

I was looking for a new laptop, because let's be real, my main laptop (the Dell G3 3500) had enough. So, I started looking through business class laptop. Because I heard they were the best ones build, but they were expensive! Like one would be around the 30000 RON mark, which was already too expansive for a laptop.

And in that moment, I remembered a laptop manufacture which made laptop to last, and to be a worthy investment. Framework! Framework is one of the BEST laptop manufactures to ever exist! And that's why I considered a laptop from them will be a no-brainer!

Now originally, I settled for my laptop configuration to be under 16000 RON. But after giving my phone to my mom, I think she was like: "He wants only 32 GB of RAM? Let's make that 96!". And that's how the laptop became around 18000 RON (tax not included). Personally, I did not expect her to do such a move. But I guess I was wrong!

Now, because I felt bad for wanting an object which was that expensive. I said to her that I will pay a small amount of money. And she said that with my money or not, she will save money for the laptop. My mind was blowing of happiness! Like I will 100% get it!

But he put a condition to this deal. My dream of getting a Framework, would only become a reality if I get into high school. Now, I respect that decision, it's completely understandable. So, from now on if I want to get that Framework laptop, I will need to learn really bad. Because my grades are not good by any means, and if I want to get into high school, my grades need to be better than 5 for Romanian and math.
